About the Founder

I was born and raised in the southern sector of Dallas, Texas in a place known as Oak Cliff. I spent most of my teenage years in the Dallas Independent School District whereby I graduated from Franklin D. Roosevelt High School. After high school, I attended University of North Texas and Ashford University with a Major in Communications.

My inspiration, dedication and drive are fueled with but not limited to being molested as an adolescent, having to cope with a parent with a drug addition and imprisonment, experienced homelessness, immediate family stricken by poverty, and agonized with a sibling that was diagnosed and suffered from a terminally ill disease.

Due to those environmental factors, I struggled as a teen with self-esteem, identity, fear and hopelessness. I often asked myself many questions such as, who am I, where do I belong? How can I become something great with all those hurdles and obstacles thrown at me? I felt as though I was labeled before, I could begin to create my own purpose or identity.

With much gratitude, I was blessed with many mentors in my life to guide, protect, inspire and provide financial support. For this reason, I have made the choice with much conviction and passion to give back and do the same for young girls. Whether they are facing something major or minor, I am confident that the trials I faced in life was designed to help me inspire, motivate and encourage teen girls to SOAR WITH WINGS LIKE AN EAGLE!
